HOW TO GET TO ANJOU and "LE CLOS DES GUYONS"

This page assumes that you are driving, click the travel link to your left for flight and ferry information.

Once in France head for SAUMUR or DOUE-LA-FONTAINE both are in Department 49, Maine et Loire.

From SAUMUR, take the D960 to CHOLET, following the signs for DISTRE and MONTREUIL-BELLAY.  Stay on this road, passing MONTREUIL-BELLAY until you see the sign for LE PUY-NOTRE-DAME and  follow these signs into the village.

From DOUE-LA-FONTAINE, take either the D178 via ARGENTAY, which goes past "Le Clos des Guyons" OR take the D87 which brings you just around the corner.

Specific routes are available, free of charge, from www.Viamichelin. Simply enter 49260 in the destination postcode box and then select Le Puy-Notre-Dame.

Click Local Map to find and print a map of where we are in Le Puy-Notre-Dame. There are signposts in the village to help you to find us but if you do get lost please do not hesitate to ring us.

If you lose your way in a town or village the best solution is to to follow either "Toutes Directions" or "Autres Directions" (the latter if you cannot see a specific sign to where you are going.). This will normally take you to an interchange or roundabout on the outskirts where it should be possible to pick up the correct route.

Exits from Motorways or Dual-Carriageways are clearly signposted but beware that some exits also serve for traffic joining the major road. And do not forget that most accidents involving British drivers occur at roundabouts where you must go to the right and give way to traffic on your left.

BEFORE ARRIVING IN FRANCE REMEMBER THAT PETROL STATIONS ARE RARELY MANNED AFTER 7PM.

After that time they use the French charge cards.  They do not normally take UK charge and credit cards even  the new Chip and Pin cards.  The cheapest places to purchase fuel are at the large supermarkets.

Have a safe and pleasant journey through the French countryside

and we look forward to your arrival
