Le Sauvingon Gite

"Le Sauvignon" has two bedrooms each with full en-suite bath and toilet facilities, plus a double sofa-bed in the large, double lounge. There is a large, seperate kitchen - diner with seating for six.

Le Chenin Gite

"Le Chenin" is designed for two people with one bedroom with full private facilities.. There is also a sofa-bed in the lounge/kitchen-diner.

Both gites have additional toilets just outside the entrance doors.

In our high and mid season reservations are normally Sat. to Sat.

Price for two people sharing a room - €55,00 per night (using the catering facilities in each accommodation and the village bakery - just like the locals, to do your own breakfast at no extra cost).

Please note that it is unlikely that we will have any B&B accommodation available during our high season.

Payments

We ask for a deposit of 25% at the time of making the reservation.
The balance is due 8 weeks before arrival.
Security deposit of €150,00 payable on arrival.

Weekly gite rentals include the following:

Local tourist tax
Aperitifs on arrival with an award winning sparkling Saumur Brut.
Free WiFi Access.
No extra charges for electricity and heating.
Sheets and towels included, (except for pool towels which are available at a nominal cost).
If required, an escorted tour and tasting in one of several much respected local wineries.
Free use of our bikes, during your stay.
The garden areas are comprehensively equipped with BBQ's, patio equipment, games etc.
Most importantly, all the help and advice we can give you.

Vineyard Discovery Tour

Informative and entertaining our "Vineyard Discovery" lasts two to three hours and is tailored to suit your personal requirements providing an informative insight into the world of wine and concluding in the comfort of "La Salle de Degustation" you will embark upon the "Initiation à la Degustation" sampling highly referenced wines from an impressive Domaine! It offers serious and budding wine enthusiasts alike the perfect opportunity to acquaint themselves with wines from the Val de Loire and experience at first hand a working Domaine. Venturing into the caves, a network of impressive tunnels will unfold their secrets and you will discover how the traditional method of wine production is still used but manages to incorporate the best of modern technology. See what goes on behind the scenes! This opportunity is included in the price of your weekly gite rental. Available as a chargeable option for our guests staying less than a full week.

Vineyard BBQ;

A fun BBQ. in the middle of the vineyard. Accompanied by wines from the surrounding vines. A French winelover's dream. We may even be joined by the vineyard owner and winemaker.€20,00per person.

Special Wine tasting Gourmet Meal and Soirée

A Soirée of wine exploration, debate, discussion and déguster throughout a Five-Course dinner accompanied by a minimim of five carefully selected AOC Saumur wines. Coffee and digestives will then conclude dinner. Bon appétit! Relax and enjoy your own private wine tasting at your leisure over dinner and enjoy being guided on how to taste and understand wine getting those 'tasting' and 'nosing' senses working! Your unique evening will be one of much discovery and debate as you sample local wines from both the AOC Saumur and the Saumur-Puy-Notre-Dame Appellations. The 'Tutored Personal Tasting' starts with an aperitif in the garden and you will be introduced to the fresh, sparkling and award winning Saumur Brut wine, (recognised by France's major daily newspaper as on of the best five sparklers in France, beating most Champagnes), perfect start to any evening! After which a Five-Course dinner of local artisan fare awaits at the 'gourmet table'! The evening is of humorous delivery, debate and exploration as you enjoy a minimum of five carefully selected wines for the evenings repas, the combination of food and wine enhancing the taste of the other. As the evening draws to a close you will find yourself with a newly found confidence and appreciation for wine. Per person €65,00.
